Seniors and Other Issues

Peter Feeeney discussing small business issues with a local tradesman in North RingwoodAs the Chair of National Seniors Australia Zone 106 - South Eastern Victoria and President of the Maroondah-Ringwood Branch I am naturally interested and involved in Seniors Issues but I do believe their are more overriding issues such as global warming and human rights abuse that people of all ages should be concerned with.

Too many people as they get older tend to yearn for the "good old days" and remember these as being simpler with issues more black and white. This makes them susceptible to arguments that people today are being spoilt, that laws are too soft, and people need to take greater responsibility. (see recent comments by the NSA Chairman and my response).  The only problem is that I remember from my high school latin classes that grumpy old poets were making the same statements 2000 years ago.
